Our Founder Story

A Journey to Love Rehab

For many years, I struggled to understand why we, as people, often chase love the way others chase a drug. I had an eye-opening realization while watching an episode of Intervention, where a woman said, “I love drugs more than I love my family.” That moment stuck with me because, in that statement, I saw a reflection of how many of us treat love. We crave it, we chase it, and we’re often willing to do anything to find it—sometimes even at the expense of ourselves.

I realized that love, like addiction, can consume us. We’re all searching for it, but very few of us are taught how to heal from love when it’s broken or unreciprocated. We don’t know how to establish healthy love with ourselves first, and without that foundation, loving others becomes a struggle. We often don’t learn how to unlearn unhealthy patterns of love or how to heal from the pain that comes with love gone wrong. And in this process, we can become trapped, unable to break free from the toxic cycles of emotional attachment and heartbreak.

That’s when the concept of Love Rehab was born. I realized we all need a space to heal—a place to withdraw from the love that was never meant for us and to rediscover how to love ourselves before we can love someone else. Through Love Rehab, I created a path to healing: a safe space where we can learn how to break free from unhealthy love, how to heal our hearts, and how to move forward with the strength to love ourselves first and foremost.

It took me years to understand that love, when approached unhealthily, can feel like an addiction. But with Love Rehab, I’m here to guide others through the process of recovery. Healing is possible, and it starts with learning to love ourselves again.
